1. The Beginning of Nalanda University

Nalanda University was established around the 5th century CE during the Gupta Empire and became one of the world's earliest residential universities. Located in present-day Bihar, India, it emerged as a major center of learning and intellectual excellence. The university attracted scholars who sought knowledge in various fields, including religion, philosophy, science, and literature.
