Legacy Thrust Territories (LTT)
The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has recently introduced the concept of Legacy Thrust Territories (LTT) as part of a revised strategy to address Left Wing Extremism (LWE) or Naxalism in India. LTT refers to districts that were previously affected by Maoist insurgency but have witnessed a substantial decline in violence, yet still require sustained security presence and targeted developmental interventions to prevent a resurgence of extremism.
