1) Gujarat ATS arrests three over alleged terror conspiracy
The Gujarat Anti-Terrorism Squad arrested Hyderabad-based doctor Ahmed Mohiyuddin Saiyed and his two accomplices near Gandhinagar for allegedly plotting terror strikes using ricin, a highly lethal toxin reportedly derived from castor beans. Investigators said the accused surveyed multiple Indian cities, including Lucknow, Delhi and Ahmedabad, to assess operational possibilities. Pistols, ammunition and four litres of castor oil—suspected to be used in toxin preparation—were seized. The alleged handler is believed to be Afghanistan-based Abu Khadija, reportedly linked to Islamic State Khorasan Province (ISKP), who facilitated weapons deliveries, possibly using drones.
