Salient Features: The centre is funded with ₹15 crore over five years by Vikram Sodhi, Vice Chairman of Mineros SA and Managing Partner at Sun Valley Investments. It has been set up through a formal MoU and is named in honor of Colonel Manjeet Sodhi, an alumnus. The institutional model is inspired by the Robert Bosch Centre for Data Science and Artificial Intelligence, emphasizing industry-linked research. Students will work on live industry projects using real datasets. The centre focuses on five core areas: mineral exploration, mine planning, mineral processing, predictive maintenance, and ESG analytics.
