TEN CRITICAL QUESTIONS ON CURRENT GEOPLOITICAL AND NATIONAL ISSUES – 106
1. The ceasefire between Iran and Israel has become uncertain again despite continuing negotiations. Why does diplomacy remain essential even after military conflict?
Answer: Military action may temporarily reduce immediate threats, but it rarely resolves the root causes of conflict. Sustainable peace requires continuous dialogue, confidence-building measures and respect for international agreements. The recent developments in West Asia show that fragile ceasefires can quickly collapse if political disputes remain unresolved. Prolonged conflict also disrupts global energy markets, trade and economic stability. Therefore, diplomacy should continue even during periods of military tension. Long-term peace is achieved through negotiation, mutual trust and international cooperation rather than military victories alone.
2. Russia now supplies over 40% of India's crude oil imports. What does this reveal about India's foreign policy?
