On 13 February 2026, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the Seva Tirtha Bhawan Complex in New Delhi, a key component of the Central Vista Redevelopment Project. Formerly known as the Executive Enclave, the complex symbolizes a shift from a “centre of power” to a “centre of service,” with “Seva” denoting selfless service and “Tirtha” signifying a sacred space. Built at a cost of approximately ₹1,189 crore by Larsen & Toubro near Vayu Bhawan, it comprises three high-tech buildings: Seva Tirtha-1 (new Prime Minister’s Office, replacing the South Block office), Seva Tirtha-2 (Cabinet Secretariat), and Seva Tirtha-3 (National Security Council Secretariat). The campus also includes “India House,” a modern conference facility for high-level diplomatic engagements. Designed as a fully paperless, digitally integrated complex with secure cloud infrastructure, it connects through underground tunnels for enhanced security. Constructed to GRIHA 5-star sustainability standards and seismic Zone-IV safety norms, it incorporates solar energy, water harvesting, and advanced waste management. Alongside, Kartavya Bhawan-1 and 2 were inaugurated to house key ministries under a unified, citizen-centric administrative framework.
