India and Israel signed a major Real Estate Cooperation Agreement in October 2025, marking a new chapter in bilateral strategic partnership. Israeli companies, known for advanced technologies in water-efficient construction, green building materials, seismic-resilient architecture, and AI-based project management, will partner with Indian public and private developers.
The pact emerges at a time when India faces rapid urbanisation, demand for affordable housing, and the need for sustainable infrastructure. Israel’s global leadership in prefabricated modular housing, solar-integrated structures, and digital real estate mapping offers India both technological and operational benefits.
From Israel’s perspective, the agreement deepens strategic ties with a key Asian partner at a time of shifting geopolitical dynamics in West Asia. India’s massive housing market and stable investment climate make it attractive for Israeli firms expanding abroad. The real estate partnership complements ongoing cooperation in defence, cyber-security, water management, agriculture, AI, and health technologies.
A joint working group will be established to share expertise on affordable housing models, urban regeneration, and smart construction norms. The agreement also encourages collaboration on start-ups, R&D, and skill development, giving India access to advanced building technologies while providing Israeli firms opportunities to scale.
