ICGS Achal
The induction of ICGS Achal into the Indian Coast Guard marks another important step in strengthening India’s maritime security architecture. Commissioned at Goa Shipyard Limited (GSL), ICGS Achal is the fifth vessel in the new-generation Adamya-class Fast Patrol Vessel (FPV) series. The ship has been built with more than 60% indigenous components, reflecting India’s growing emphasis on defence self-reliance under the “Aatmanirbhar Bharat” initiative.
