Pakistan ranked first for the first time, driven by activities of TTP and BLA. While global fatalities declined, Western countries witnessed a 280% rise in deaths, largely due to lone-wolf attacks and political radicalisation. Technological evolution is evident, with increased use of drones by terror groups, and online radicalisation among youth, with minors forming a significant proportion of recruits. Notably, 76% of attacks occurred near international borders, underlining cross-border dimensions.
