History of the Issue
Exercise Tiger Lightning was launched in 2017 as a bilateral military engagement between the Bangladesh Armed Forces and the United States Army Pacific (USARPAC). The exercise was temporarily suspended during the COVID-19 pandemic but resumed thereafter. It forms part of the USARPAC Theater Army Campaign Plan, aimed at strengthening regional security cooperation in the Indo-Pacific.
