DEENDAYAL PORT AUTHORITY DECLARED INDIA'S BEST NON-CONTAINER PORT
Background
The Deendayal Port Authority (DPA), located at Kandla in the Kutch district of Gujarat, has been awarded the India Maritime Award 2026 as India's Best Non-Container Port. The award recognises outstanding operational efficiency and excellence in handling bulk and liquid cargo. Situated at the inner end of the Gulf of Kutch, it is a naturally protected deep-water port and one of India's 12 Major Ports, functioning under the administrative control of the Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways.
