1. नए लेबर कोड और 48 घंटे कार्य-सीमा
केंद्र सरकार ने चारों नए लेबर कोड से जुड़े नियम लागू कर दिए हैं। नए प्रावधानों के अनुसार किसी कर्मचारी से सप्ताह में 48 घंटे से अधिक काम नहीं लिया जा सकेगा। अतिरिक्त काम के लिए कर्मचारी की सहमति जरूरी होगी और ओवरटाइम का भुगतान दोगुनी दर से करना होगा। कॉन्ट्रैक्ट वर्करों को समय पर वेतन न देने वाले ठेकेदारों को ब्लैकलिस्ट भी किया जा सकता है। इसका तर्क श्रमिक अधिकार, कार्य-जीवन संतुलन और औपचारिक श्रम व्यवस्था को मजबूत करना है। सरकार का रुख यह है कि पुराने 29 श्रम कानूनों की जगह सरल और समेकित व्यवस्था लाई जाए। यह सुधार तभी सफल होगा जब कंपनियां नियमों का पालन करें और निरीक्षण व्यवस्था प्रभावी रहे।
