2025 में अब तक स्मॉल-कैप म्यूचुअल फंडों में औसतन 5% गिरावट दर्ज की गई है, जिससे खुदरा निवेशकों में असमंजस की स्थिति बनी है। बाजार विशेषज्ञों का मानना है कि यह गिरावट किसी संरचनात्मक कमजोरी का संकेत नहीं, बल्कि अत्यधिक तेजी के बाद स्वाभाविक करेक्शन है। बीते तीन वर्षों में स्मॉल-कैप फंडों ने असामान्य रिटर्न दिया था, जिससे वैल्युएशन अत्यधिक बढ़ गए थे। संपादकीय रुख यह है कि घबराकर निवेश निकालना दीर्घकालिक निवेशकों के लिए नुकसानदेह हो सकता है। SIP के माध्यम से निवेश जारी रखना बेहतर रणनीति मानी जा रही है। इसके अतिरिक्त पोर्टफोलियो में 55:25:20 या 60:30:10 जैसे संतुलित अनुपात को अपनाने की सलाह दी गई है। NFO में अंधाधुंध निवेश से बचने और मजबूत ट्रैक रिकॉर्ड वाले फंड चुनने पर जोर दिया गया है।
