1. सुप्रीम कोर्ट में जजों की संख्या बढ़ाने का फैसला
केंद्र सरकार ने सुप्रीम कोर्ट में जजों की संख्या 33 से बढ़ाकर 37 करने को मंजूरी दी है। देश की सर्वोच्च अदालत में 92 हजार से अधिक मामले लंबित हैं, जिससे न्याय मिलने में देरी हो रही है। सरकार का तर्क है कि अधिक जज होने से मामलों का तेजी से निपटारा होगा और न्याय व्यवस्था पर बोझ कम होगा। इसी कैबिनेट बैठक में रेल परियोजनाओं, सेमीकंडक्टर यूनिट और उद्योगों के लिए राहत पैकेज को भी मंजूरी दी गई। यह फैसला बताता है कि न्यायिक सुधार अब प्रशासनिक प्राथमिकता बनता जा रहा है। हालांकि केवल जजों की संख्या बढ़ाना पर्याप्त नहीं होगा, बल्कि अदालतों की आधारभूत संरचना, तकनीकी सुधार और निचली अदालतों की क्षमता भी बढ़ानी होगी। न्याय में देरी लोकतंत्र की विश्वसनीयता को प्रभावित करती है, इसलिए यह कदम संस्थागत मजबूती की दिशा में महत्वपूर्ण माना जा रहा है।
