1. मालवीय नगर होटल अग्निकांड: लालच, अवैध निर्माण और प्रशासनिक विफलता
मालवीय नगर स्थित फ्लोरिश स्टेज बी एंड बी होटल में लगी भीषण आग की जांच में कई गंभीर अनियमितताएं सामने आई हैं। जांच के अनुसार होटल का लाइसेंस कथित रूप से फर्जी तरीके से अकाउंटेंट के नाम पर लिया गया था और छह कमरों की अनुमति वाले गेस्ट हाउस को बढ़ाकर 25 कमरों तक विस्तारित कर दिया गया था। होटल मालिक पर आरोप है कि उसने सुरक्षा मानकों, अग्निशमन नियमों और भवन निर्माण नियमों की अनदेखी की। संपादकीय दृष्टि से यह घटना केवल एक दुर्घटना नहीं बल्कि भ्रष्टाचार, कमजोर निगरानी और लाभ कमाने की मानसिकता का परिणाम है। सवाल यह भी उठता है कि इतने बड़े पैमाने पर अवैध निर्माण होते रहे और संबंधित विभागों को इसकी जानकारी क्यों नहीं हुई। यह हादसा बताता है कि शहरी क्षेत्रों में सुरक्षा मानकों का कड़ाई से पालन और जवाबदेही तय करना अत्यंत आवश्यक है।
