1. SIR में छूटे मतदाताओं के लिए विशेष अभियान: पारदर्शिता पर जोर
Special Intensive Revision यानी SIR को लेकर विवाद और विरोध-प्रदर्शनों के बीच चुनाव आयोग ने मतदाता सूचियों की दोबारा जांच का विशेष अभियान घोषित किया है। BLO मौजूदा सूची का SIR से पहले की सूची से मिलान करेंगे और घर-घर जाकर ऐसे लोगों की स्थिति जांचेंगे, जिनके नाम पहले थे लेकिन अब नहीं हैं। आयोग के अनुसार वैध मतदाताओं के नाम दोबारा जोड़े जाएंगे और 18 वर्ष पूरे कर चुके नए मतदाताओं को भी Form-6 के माध्यम से शामिल किया जाएगा। NBT के संपादकीय ‘अब न हो चूक’ का मत है कि प्रक्रिया ऐसी होनी चाहिए कि एक भी योग्य मतदाता अपने अधिकार से वंचित न रहे। सूची से नाम हटने का कारण स्पष्ट होना चाहिए और पूरी प्रक्रिया पारदर्शी रहनी चाहिए। सार: विवादों के समाधान में accuracy, transparency और समयबद्ध verification महत्वपूर्ण हैं।
