1. Dharmendra Pradhan Resigns: Youth Protest, Accountability and Democratic Responsiveness

Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan resigned after more than a month of student protests centred on the NEET paper-leak controversy. The Cockroach Janta Party (CJP), which spearheaded the agitation, subsequently withdrew its protest after the government also agreed to avoid retaliatory legal action against protesters, consider compensation for families of NEET aspirants who died by suicide, and examine proposals for examination reform.
