SPACE / UNIVERSE
1. Space / Universe
Space, also known as the universe, is the vast expanse beyond Earth that contains all celestial bodies, including stars, planets, moons, asteroids, comets, galaxies, and cosmic dust. The universe is believed to have originated about 13.8 billion years ago through the Big Bang. It contains billions of galaxies, each with millions or billions of stars. The Solar System is only a tiny part of the Milky Way Galaxy. Space has no atmosphere, making it a vacuum where sound cannot travel. The study of space helps scientists understand the origin, structure, and future evolution of the universe.
