Salient Features: A key innovation is the “Sujal Gaon ID,” which gives every village a unique digital identity, similar to Aadhaar. The app enables geo-tagging of water infrastructure such as sources, pipelines, and household tap connections using GIS technology, developed with support from BISAG-N. It also tracks maintenance of assets and uses the concept of digital twins to predict future issues. Data is collected at the village level by local committees and verified at district and state levels, then displayed on a national dashboard.
