Recent remarks by US President Donald Trump, claiming that Prime Minister Narendra Modi sought a meeting deferentially and asserting incorrect figures about India’s purchase of Apache helicopters, have caused unease in New Delhi. Indian government sources have quietly rebutted the factual inaccuracies, clarifying that India has purchased only 28 Apache helicopters—all of which have already been delivered—rather than the claimed 68.
