The Pradhan Mantri Viksit Bharat Rojgar Yojana (PMVBRY) is a major Employment Linked Incentive (ELI) scheme launched by the Government of India to promote formal job creation and strengthen social security coverage. Recently, the Prime Minister transferred more than ₹2,400 crore through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) to over 15 lakh beneficiaries under the scheme. Implemented by the Ministry of Labour and Employment through the Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO), the programme aims to encourage both first-time employees and employers generating additional jobs.
