The Nobel Prize in Literature 2025 has been awarded to Hungarian author László Krasznahorkai for his visionary and deeply philosophical writings that explore human emotions in the backdrop of apocalyptic chaos. Born on 5 January 1954 in Gyula, Hungary, Krasznahorkai is a novelist and screenwriter whose works have been translated into many global languages. After initially studying law, he shifted to Hungarian language and literature at Eötvös Loránd University, later working as an editor before becoming a full-time writer.
His literary breakthrough came with the novel Satantango
