Mount Dukono Volcano
Mount Dukono, located in the northern part of Halmahera Island, recently witnessed one of its most powerful eruptions in more than four centuries. The volcano is among the most active volcanoes in Indonesia and has remained continuously active since 1933, making it one of the few volcanoes in the world with nearly uninterrupted eruptive activity for decades.
