Measles Outbreak in Bangladesh
Bangladesh is currently facing one of its worst measles outbreaks in decades, creating a major public health emergency. Since March 2026, more than 50,000 suspected cases and over 336 child deaths have been reported. The outbreak has spread across almost the entire country, affecting 58 out of 64 districts. Children below five years account for most fatalities, while densely populated regions such as Dhaka and Chattogram are among the worst affected.
