India–Seychelles Joint Military Exercise LAMITIYE-2026
The India–Seychelles Joint Military Exercise “LAMITIYE-2026” marks the 11th edition of the bilateral defence exercise conducted to strengthen strategic and military cooperation between the two countries. The exercise is being held from 9 March to 20 March 2026 at the Seychelles Defence Academy (SDA) and lasts for 12 days. The term “Lamitieye” in the Seychelles’ Creole language means “friendship,” symbolizing the strong defence partnership between the two nations.
