India’s Wholesale Inflation Rises to 1.81% (January 2026)
India’s Wholesale Price Index (WPI)-based inflation rose to 1.81% in January 2026, up from 0.83% in December 2025, reaching a 10-month high. The increase was mainly driven by rising prices of manufactured goods and primary articles, while fuel and power continued to remain in deflation.
