India–Finland Relations
India and Finland share friendly and cooperative bilateral relations that are rooted in shared democratic values, technological innovation, and sustainable development. Diplomatic relations between the two countries were formally established in 1949, soon after India’s independence. Over the decades, the partnership has gradually evolved from traditional diplomatic engagement to cooperation in technology, education, and green development. In 2024, both countries celebrated the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations, reflecting the maturity and continuity of their partners
