India–Armenia Defence Cooperation: From Arms Trade to Defence R&D
Current Context
India and Armenia further strengthened their defence partnership during Defence Secretary Rajesh Kumar Singh’s visit to Armenia on 17–18 August 2026. Discussions in Yerevan covered military-technical cooperation, capacity building, training and particularly defence research and development (R&D). The two sides also exchanged Terms of Reference to institutionalise Joint Services Staff Talks between their armed forces.
