ICGS Ajit — Advanced Fast Patrol Vessel of the Indian Coast Guard
Context
Goa Shipyard Limited (GSL) formally handed over ICGS Ajit (Yard 1277), a state-of-the-art Fast Patrol Vessel (FPV), to the Indian Coast Guard on 25 August 2026. The vessel has been built with more than 65% indigenous content, supporting India’s policy of Atmanirbhar Bharat in defence shipbuilding.
